"I got a job at the Cottonwood 4 Cinema late in 2005 and immediately began writing songs about the place from a worker’s standpoint. The resulting collection of songs is not necessarily all that complimentary to the theater itself but more the deep feelings and contemplations of a worker who worked the late nights and slow afternoons pushing a broom, ripping tickets at the door and doing all the odd jobs related to being a doorman and a concession worker."
